Based on the Mini Cooper 1.3i, it combined classic Mini driving characteristics with distinctive cosmetic and mechanical enhancements.Only 200 examples were built, finished in either Flame Red or Black, some featuring contrasting white roofs and mirror caps. The exterior was distinguished by four auxiliary front driving lamps, Monte Carlo badging and 12"" Minilite-style alloy wheels and the cabin featured a red and cream interior with Monte Carlo-specific detailing, a Walnut dashboard and a rev counter.Powered by the 1,275cc single-point fuel-injected A-series engine, the Monte Carlo edition retained the Cooper’s lively performance while benefiting from servo-assisted brakes, winding front windows and pop-out rear windows.
