Description
Restored vintage Dawes (Birmingham) road bike. I believe it is from the 1950s and possibly a Debonair or Tartan Club or similar. Very hard to diagnose!
The frame has been resprayed to match something like the original colour, but the frame was previously badly sprayed so I couldn't see the decals.
Benelux Cyclo derailleur (5 speed) and shifter marks it as 50's as do the handlebars.
Rims are Rigida (made in France). New Schwalbe Active tyres 27 × 1 1/4". Bontrager leather saddle. Runs well.
Frame size is 58cm, large.
