Join Our Team - Park Ranger

Location: Edinburgh City Centre

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours: Backshift including weekends 14.00-22.00

Rate of Pay: £13.48 per hour

Do you love the outdoors and want to make a real difference in your local environment? We're looking for a Park Ranger to help protect, improve and promote the beautiful parks and open spaces of Edinburgh

What You'll Do

As a Park Ranger, you'll be out in nature - patrolling parks, engaging with visitors, supporting events, and helping keep our green spaces safe, clean and thriving. You'll be the friendly face of the park, giving advice, supporting wildlife, and working with local communities and partners.

Key responsibilities:

Patrol and inspect parks and open space

Engage with the public about park use and safety

Monitor wildlife and protect habitats

Support educational and community activities

Carry out minor repairs and maintenance

Assist during events and emergencies

Promote environmental awareness

What We're Looking For

Relevant qualification or experience in land or environmental management

Good communication skills and confident engaging with the public

Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Practical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

A team player with a passion for the outdoors

Full clean driving licence required

Experience working with the public and an understanding of countryside or park management will help you stand out.
